Come and experience one of the world’s largest winter festivals in the beautiful city of Québec. Each year, thousands of visitors gather at the Québec Winter Carnival to partake in a multitude of activities suitable for all ages, such as nighttime parades, snow sculptures, and musical performances. Bonhomme Carnaval serves as the ambassador for this winter celebration. In 2024, the Carnival will extend over 18 days in honor of its 70th anniversary!

Carnaval de Québec Activities:
The Québec Winter Carnival has been enchanting our winters since 1955. Here are some of the highlights:
- Bonhomme’s Ice Palace: Bonhomme Carnaval symbolizes the festive spirit of this grand winter celebration. Each year, an Ice Palace is constructed for him, serving as a central point for numerous Carnival activities. Residents of Québec City eagerly anticipate the commencement of construction on Bonhomme’s palace! This is the prime opportunity to meet the iconic figure. February 2 to 11, 2024.
- Night Parades: Young and old alike gather on snow-covered streets to witness a parade of vibrant performances. Do not miss the two night parades featuring the Carnival’s star – Bonhomme himself! February 3 and 10, 2024.
- Ice Canoe Race: An extreme competitive sport where teams navigate the frigid waters of the St. Lawrence River. February 4, 2024.
- Ice and Snow Sculptures: Talented sculptors transform giant blocks of snow and ice into works of art, turning the city into a magnificent outdoor museum. February 2 to 11, 2024.
- The Snow Bath: Brave individuals, clad only in their bathing suits, join Bonhomme for a playful frolic in the snow! February 11, 2024.
- Musical Evenings: Under the dome, captivating shows are presented for Carnival-goers eager to sing and dance. Do not miss this unique winter experience! February 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2024.
- Entertainment for the Whole Family: Throughout the event, Carnival-goers of all ages can enjoy a variety of shows and activities, including snow and ice tobogganing, games, sugar shack stands, musical performances, and more.

- Admission: The Effigy is the official pass for the Québec Winter Carnival, but it is not mandatory for those aged 12 and under. It can be obtained in pre-sale for $20 (until January 14) and will cost $30 thereafter.
